Memorial Awards
Edythe Weih Memorial Award
On June 21, 2006 the ASRBA lost a very special friend. Edythe was very active
in the rabbit hobby. She served our organization as Secretary-Treasurer for
15 years. There was never a question you couldn't ask her! She always had
an answer for you, and always with a smile! Not only was she very active
within the ASRBA, but she and her husband, Dennis, were very active with
4-H. Edythe also served on many fair committees, and was show secretary for
numerous rabbit shows. Dennis and Edythe were honored with the ARBA Distinguished
Service award in 2003 and Edythe was recognized as Mr. Satin in 2000.

The Don Matthews Award
The Don Matthews award was created to recognize the winner of the Broken variety of Satins at ARBA Convention, Don's beloved variety. Don passed away in 2003 from complications stemming from heart surgery. Don was very active with local 4-H clubs promoting the rabbit industry. Don also served the ASRBA as director for many years. He was honored with the prestigious Mr. Satin award in 1998.
